Provincial Capitol - Nelspruit
Nelspruit is the capital of the Mpumalanga province and the main centre for tourism. It is the ideal place to plan your visit to the Kruger National Park, or to begin a drive along one of the many historic and scenic routs of the province. A wide range of sightseeing tours is offered within a short distance of the city. Nelspruit has a Subtropical climate which offers a temperature of sometimes over 38 degrees C.
Sudwala Caves
Based in the Mankelekele Mountains, it's well worth the trip. The size and extent of this natural network of caves allow tours of up to six hours. The Dinosaur Park adjacent to the caves features life-size replicas of the animals. The 6hour long Crystal Cave Tour every first Saturday of the month offers a challenge to the less fainthearted. Long Tom Pass
Take a scenic drive over the Long Tom Pass to view the Long Tom guns which were used in the battle between the Boers and the British in the Anglo-Boer War (1899 –1902) in the Lydenburg area.

Pilgrim's Rest
The whole town has been proclaimed an historical monument and has been restored to its original splendour. The old Royal hotel – part of which used to be a church in Lourenco Marques (now Maputo) – was brought to Pilgrim's Rest by ox wagon.

God's Window
Situated on the Drakensberg escarpment in Mpumalanga is God's Window. Just one look down and you will begin to understand why it is called "God's Window" With magnificent views, canyons, rock formations and waterfalls, God's Window is truly an area of breathtaking scenic spendour. God's Window is so called for the panoramic view of the Lowveld more than 900m down in to lush indigenous forest clad ravine. The majestic cliffs plunge over 700m to the Lowveld. God's Window is a small part of a 250km lon earthwork of sheer cliffs and extravagant beauty. One can observe the hills and forests as far as the eye can see. In fact, it seems as if one can see forever!
The Three Rondawels
The Three Rondawels are named after the three most difficult and quarrelsome wives of Chief Maripi Mashile - they are Magabolle, Mogoladikwe and Maseroto.
Bourke's Luck Potholes
Just above the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers is a curious formation of rounded holes in the rock caused by the perpetual swirling waters of the Treur River.
Kruger National Park
The park is set just a 45min drive to Numbi gate from Nelspruit where you view from the most dangerous and largest predators to the most interesting little mammals/insects you have ever seen. It offers a substantial amount of bird Species, the big tree and more than 200 of the larger animals.
